We Are Blessed To Have The Holy Ghost In Our Lives

Hello everyone!

What a wonderful week it has been! The conference yesterday was great, I was able to feel the spirit so strong and I know that the messages we've received were inspired. As we apply the counsel we've received we will be given that strength that we need to keep ourselves as well as our families strong. I know that Christ is the foundation which we must build our lives on. I have a testimony that as we trust in our Heavenly Father he will take care of us. I am so grateful for the chance I will have to attend Concordia University this fall, what a wonderful blessing.

We were so incredible blessed to witness the baptism of Josh Meise as well yesterday. I've been trying to upload pictures from his baptism for the past 45 minutes but every time I do it freezes up the computer. So my letter won't be so long today because I still have to e-mail President as well. The spirit was so powerful at his baptism and there were about 60+ members who attended, pretty much the most well attended baptism that I'm aware of. Everyone was so happy there and we could all feel the love that Heavenly Father had for Josh!
Josh Meise and the Prince George Missionaries
The wonderful thing about the Gospel and the Church is that, this message is true. God does call men to be prophets in these days and the authority to act in the name of Christ has been restored. All who humble themselves and come unto Christ through baptism are promised the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. What an incredible blessing that is, to have to Holy Ghost with us to teach us continually truth. I can testify that the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that this message is true, it has and continue to bless my life as well as those who we teach.

I am grateful to be a messenger of truth. It's the best, I know that Heavenly Father uses me as an instrument in his hand to bless his children.

I'll try sending a picture again if it doesn't work I'm sorry, I hope that things  are going well. Also please thank Rachel Lamble for her letter.

 Have a great week!

I Love My Missionary Experience

Hello everyone!

Well last week seemed to just fly by as well. The mission office called me too this past week and let me know that August 15th is when I would be flying back. It was one of the weirdest phone calls on my mission. They basically just asked about information at home and how they would be able to reach you.

Elder Larsen and I feel so incredibly blessed! We are seeing miracles happen in our area as well as throughout the mission of which we are both grateful for! This upcoming Sunday is going to be the day the Josh gets baptized! We're so excited for him, Elder Larsen and I were talking with Elder and Sister Sterner (The senior couple in Prince George) yesterday, and we just marveled at the changes that he has and continues to make in his life because of his love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful blessing the Gospel is. I have a testimony that the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes people, as the spirit confirms to them the truth of the Gospel added light comes into that persons life that was not there before. It truly is a miracle to be involved in this experience.

The Medina family also had to opportunity to come up to Prince George because Omar (14 year old son) was participating in various track and field events. He won every single event that he was participating. I remember the first time that we went and visited the Medina family, Sister Median invited Omar to say an opening prayer to our meeting and Omar declined the invitation because he wasn't sure about how to pray. Since then we've been blessed with opportunities to teach the families and strengthen their faith. Elder Larsen and I have noticed the change that has been happening in their family. Before Omar's last event he was warming up and getting ready for the race, then suddenly he stood firm on the ground with his legs spread shoulder length apart. He crossed his arms and bow his head. When Elder Larsen and I saw this sudden change we both looked at each other and smiled because we both knew what he was doing, praying. After his race we had a moment to ask him what he did before the race. We asked him if he prayed and he smiled and confidently said yes! It's wonderful to see testimonies grow, and nothing has brought me more happiness in my entire life than helping people understand their relationship with our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.

Transfers are this week, calls were Sunday and Elder Larsen and I are staying together in Prince George for another transfer. I'm so excited for that, I know that as we continue to work hard and put our trust in Heavenly Father that we'll continue to be instruments in his hands, and see miracles in our area!

I hope everyone has a good week! and had a good time camping too!

Another Amazing week

Hey everyone!

Wow, what a week it was here. We had a spiritually uplifting zone conference, the messages which we received were inspired through the Holy Ghost. I know that as we apply what we've learned that our area will continue to move forward. I'm just so excited to be serving in Prince George at this time, the field is truly white here and we're doing our best to harvest as much as we can. We are constantly being blessed and finding amazing people who are prepared and ready to make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father! It's exciting it's wonderful and I LOVE IT!

So for mother's day, I can't believe it's practically here it seems like it was just yesterday that we talked! We have church here from 1-4 here and I was planning on calling after church. So probably around 7:30, back home. We'll have about an hour so that means we should wrap up around 8:30! If that doesn't work you can call the mission office and they will forward the message to me. I'll be calling Doda's house.

This week literally zipped by, I loved having zone conference and it was great having President Tilleman come up North, he hasn't been here for a while apparently. All the missionaries were really excited to see him! It's really a miracle that he's still here, he was telling us at zone conference that when he suffered his injury that it was really serious. Many of the doctors look at what happened and they shake their heads because he shouldn't be walking right now! Let me tell you he does much more than just walk to, it added to my testimony in the power that faith has to heal and also in Priesthood blessings. If anything this experience has made the mission that much better. President Tilleman always had faith that we would continue to work hard even when he wasn't there, and that's exactly what we did. We've matured as a mission and we're continuing to push forward. We're becoming more effective teachers who understand what our role is as missionaries, which is to point people toward our Heavenly Father through our Savior Jesus Christ. It really is a privilege to be able to serve and I am grateful for my testimony which allows me to bring in the spirit into lessons to touch the hearts of those we teach.

Earlier this week we received a call from one of our investigators, Brother Smith (we call our investigators brother or sister it's LEGIT!) he told us about one of his friends that he wanted us to start teaching. He invited us over and we went. We bore powerful testimony of the Power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how through Jesus Christ we can overcome any tribulation or personal problem that we face in life. As we were teaching the district impression came into my mind. INVITE HIM TO BE BAPTIZED! Always have to follow what the spirit tells you and he said yes. Isn't awesome how the spirit can communicate with us these things! I am so grateful for the spirit because without it I wouldn't be able to help people come unto Christ! There is no other way to do missionary work. You have to be obedient, work hard and follow the spirit. Brother Smith referring us to his friend also gives us insights that he feels the joy that comes from living the Gospel. It's amazing to be a part of miracles like this daily!

We didn't get a chance to go down to Valemount this past weekend, we are planning on going this upcoming Friday and returning Saturday night. Elder Larsen and I are excited to get back out there. Raquel is progressing and she's been reading the Book of Mormon.

It's really exciting to hear that Lasalle ward is working hard and even more wonderful to hear that Heavenly Father has blessed us with 4 baptisms in May! That's wonderful.

I continue to think about all the has been accomplished on my mission. I know that it is only through the strength that I've received from my Heavenly Father that I've been able to work miracles. Heavenly Father gives me strength when I feel that I can't work anymore, it's incredible and it's wonderful to be involved in this work. It brings me so much joy to see people change, it makes me happy to make my brothers and sister happy. I am grateful for the Atonement which makes it all possible.

I'm really excited to talk to everyone on Sunday!

Have a great week!
Love you guys!
