Spirit Of The Temple Strengthened My Testimony

Hey guys!

We have our P-day on Tuesday this week because we got to go to the temple! It was really great, we were able to feel the spirit and our testimonies were Hey guys!

We have our P-day on Tuesday this week because we got to go to the temple! It was really great, we were able to feel the spirit and our testimonies were strengthened!
Les Elders Aux Quebec! Away Mon Gros!
So first before I forget I will answer your questions. So mom last week I forgot to tell you about what I thought about going on this huge road trip around visiting sites for the church. I think it would be pretty cool, I think we should take our time though and be in no rush. So we need to make sure that we have enough time to go everywhere. It goes all the way across the states pretty much right? It's weird because it seems lie it's so far away but I guess it's not really. It's weird to think about.

Tell McCleve my number he can call us anytime that's our cell number. Is he coming up to go to the temple? Because apparently this is the temple that he is supposed to go to!

Yeah so this week was actually really good, Elder Soucy have been working hard. This week we spent quite a bit of time out in the neighborhoods being led by Heavenly Father, finding people who have been prepared and who are ready to receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It's really comforting and encouraging to know that the Lord is on our side, and that we can rely on him and press forward with faith!

Tracting in Burnaby
On Monday night we were going to an area to tract that we planned the night before. So we were driving down the street and then we turned a corner, when I received a quite impression that came to my mind which said, "pull over you need to talk to the people here." I just thought to myself oh that was weird, so we kept on driving down the street. Then the thought came to my mind again! Pull over you need to talk to the people here. I said no we already prayed about and planned where we are supposed to be going yesterday and this is not according to schedule, so I kept driving. Then it came a third time, pull over you need to talk to the people here. Only that time I felt it was really urgent so I turned to Elder Soucy and I said, "I have no idea why, but we have to pull over and knock on some doors on this street". So we did and we started going around and knocking on some doors, not too many people were home even though it was 7:30 on Monday night. I knew that we were there for a reason though, and that Heavenly Father wouldn't prompt me to go somewhere for no reason.

Guns A Blazing!
So we finished tracting the street and then we saw this mother and her two children walking down the street. We started to talk to them, the mother couldn't really understand us, she was from Sri Lanka. But her two children understood completely and started telling the mother what we were saying. It was really cool the kids were so excited with what we were telling them, and that made the mom excited too! Basically to make a long story short, we got her phone number and we're going to start teaching this awesome humble family this week! It's cool because we have members in our ward who are perfect for them because they're from the same country. The Lord truly prepares us a way to accomplish all that he has asked us to do.

We also set another baptismal date with another one of our awesome investigators. His name is Heru and he is from Indonesia! We set the baptismal date with him for October 8th! He's doing really good he says that he's 90% sure that he wants to be baptized.

Do you have the address for the mission in the states because I don't know it and no one at the office is answer their phones right now. If you do have it can you send it to Auntie Patricia because she's asking for it. That would be awesome thanks!

Burnaby is an awesome area I feel so blessed to be here, this week I was looking at some of the potential investigators that we have and so many of them are solid, I feel so blessed with the opportunity that Elder Soucy and I have to teach, love and serve these people.

The Church is true, that's a fact. Never let anyone or anything make you doubt it is. We have to remember our testimonies and our Father in Heaven, he'll take care of us.

Andrew is doing well at least that's what I hear I put his name in the temple today, we should be setting a meeting with him soon, continue to pray for him it's helping tons!

That's all I have for this week, Oh and next week I might not get a chance to write on Monday because the library is closed so we'll see what happens, just giving you the heads up

 Love,

 Elder Kameron Lahahce!

My Testimony Of The Gospel Has Never Been Stronger

 Hi!

It's so crazy that summertime is already coming to a close, it seems like it just started to get warm here yesterday. Today we are being blessed with some beautiful Vancouver rain! I guess we need to get used to it pretty quick especially since fall and winter are just around the corner, so that means lots and lots of rain!

This week in Burnaby went by so fast, it was really great though and I honestly can say that I was humbled this week by Heavenly Father!  So we met with Andrew yesterday he came over to Burnaby and we talked with him for about an hour and a half, it turns out he doesn't feel welcomed in the Richmond ward. So he didn't feel welcomed and it slowly chipped away at him until last Sunday he went to Bishop and told him that he would not be return to Richmond Ward. So the whole experience has really shaken his faith. I was able to understand where he was coming from because it's really hard be a convert to the church you pretty much have to abandon your old life and begin new with new people. I have been praying for him all this week and I know you guys have been too I was able to tell that it did make a difference. When I first talked with Elder Williams last Sunday Andrew was set on leaving the church, where now he says that he is going to take a month break away from the church and then make a decision. So now we are going to continue to care for him and love him. I told him that he needed to remember how strong he felt the spirit when he was baptized and also his testimony of the Book of Mormon. So Elder Soucy and I as well as Elder Williams and Elder Larson (The current Richmond Elders) will continue to care for Andrew and do all the we can to help him. But ultimately in the end it's like you said mom, he has to make the decision for himself. More than anything though this experience has helped strengthen my testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is lead by Jesus Christ himself and that it was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith.

This whole week I knew that I would be seeing Andrew on Sunday and I wanted just reassurance, of the things that I knew to be true so my testimony would be that much strong for Andrew. Every night I prayed and I asked Heavenly Father if a certain principle of Doctrine that the church taught was true, and every night I received an answer from the Holy Ghost. It was actually pretty intense, I've never had prayers answered so quickly and my whole life. It showed me that Heavenly Father is there he cares, and answers are prayers according to his time, not ours. I was reflecting about how my prayers were being answered this week when the thought came to me, that I had a real sincere desire, I wanted to have a stronger testimony for Andrew.
Heavenly Father knew that and he knew what Andrew needed. So whenever we show Heavenly Father that our desires are sincere that opens our hearts to the spirit which makes it easier for Heavenly Father to communicate with us. Basically it's good to be humble! Like I said earlier this whole experience has made me even more that I am truly on the Lord's errand and that our message is so important, it's the way that we save souls.

I really appreciate your testimonies, I was able to feel the spirit confirm to me the truthfulness of what you said as I read it, thank you!

Oh so one thing, I wrote Cody a letter I don't even remember how long ago I think it was like 4-5 weeks, and I still not have received a letter from that guy! So I will write him one more today, tell him he needs to write me before he starts school, because once he starts he won't have anymore time!

Our investigators are doing really well, especially Gordie! He's doing so good, he came to church for the first time on Sunday and loved it! He texted us after church and thanked us for inviting him to come and that he had a great time. He is still waiting to receive an answer to his prayers, it will come. He still has a baptismal date set for September 10th!  I can already see how the gospel is bringing more light into his life, you can see it in his eyes. I've learned that is what missionary work is all about, just being instruments in the Lord's hands and he brings people unto him through us.

Saturday was a interesting day, all our appointments that we had scheduled that day fell through, so Elder Soucy and I spent much of the day personal finding. So we went knock on some houses. It was Saturday evening but, it seemed like no one was home, almost every house we knocked at no one answered. So I kept praying and asking Heavenly Father to please put someone in our path who was ready, I knew he had the power and that he has people who are ready to hear us. But everyone we talked to wasn't interested, I'm not going to lie I was a little discouraged though I didn't want to show it. So we started to head back towards our car when we decided that we should knock on one more house. A man came to the door and we introduced

So this was a refining week for me, but I can say now that my testimony of the gospel has never been stronger, my love for the people has never been greater and my hope and trust in our Savior Jesus Christ has never been as strong as it now is. I am grateful for the experiences and trials that I've had throughout my life they have helped shaped me into who I am today. I am grateful to have a Father in Heavenly who loves me enough to answer my prayers and to guide me to do what is right. And of course I am grateful for you guys and all that you do for me, especially the example that you set for me my whole life.

I'm excited to see how everyone will do in their 1st week back to school. Tell everyone that I love and I'm thinking and praying for them

 Love,

I Am Happist When I'm Serving Others

Hey everyone!

I'm glad to hear that everyone had a really good time at Hampton Beach, the weather must have been awesome there too!

So this week has been a pretty interesting week, it was a little slower because many of our appointments canceled on us! But it was good because we got to do alot more contacting than we normally do which is honestly my favorite! So it was really fun, some days we go contacting near this big huge mall called Metrotown and there is a skytrain (kinda like the metro) station right next to it so there's always people walking around. It's great to feel the spirit working through you to help testify of the restoration of the gospel to people.

So right not we have 2 pretty solid investigators in Burnaby.

 1. Gordie Carly, he was a referral from mormon.org, he's so awesome! I'm always amazed at how much he already knows about the church every time that we meet with him. He has a sincere desire to know for himself if the church is true or not, which is so fundamental to receiving an answer to your prayers. He's read all of 1 Nephi already and he's on 2 Nephi 4 last I heard and he's only been meeting with us for a little over 3 weeks. Last time we met with him we reviewed the message of the restoration and he said he believed it and we committed him to be baptized on September 10th and he said YES! It's really cool because we were planning on asking to be baptized but then when we were teaching him in the lesson I felt the impression from the spirit to ask him to be baptized 3 or 4 times and it was powerful too! So we're really excited for him he's 17 years old but honestly I've never seen such a honest and sincere guy in a while! I feel so blessed to have the privilege of serving him.

2. Louise, She's from Namibia in Africa and she's been in Canada for 4 years I think, I'm not 100% sure. But she's so good too, she has such a strong faith and it just catches me off guard every time we ask her to keep a commitment she always does it. She also knows that when she keeps the commandments and puts her life in Heavenly Father's hands that nothing is impossible. She's really close to be baptized too, we've asked her a few times already but at this point she just doesn't feel she's ready, so we're doing all that we can to help her out.

It's crazy because I care about these people here in Burnaby so much, I've also come to realize that your happiest when your serving others and worrying about them and not yourself. Because you want what's best for them and you just keep thinking what can I do that will help this person in their life. It's an awesome feeling!

This week we also had zone conference. It was my first one with President Tilleman and it was awesome! The spirit was really strong there. I really love zone conference because you can always feel the spirit really strong, but then I come away always feeling like I need to repent and do so much better as a missionary. I guess it's good though because we can always have that motivation to do even better than we are now and push ourselves so that we can touch people's lives!

There was one thing that really threw me off though that happened yesterday actually. I was on an exchange with Elder Jensen who is a missionary in Vancouver, which is right next to Burnaby, when I received a call from Elder Williams (my companion from Richmond) he said that he needed to tell me something really important and that I needed to call him back right away (we were in an appointment when he called so he left a message). So I called him back and I asked him what was up. What he told me made my heart sink, apparently yesterday Andrew Kingsley the person who was baptized while I was in Richmond, met with bishop yesterday. He asked that his records be removed from church records. I couldn't believe it because when I left Richmond Andrew's faith was so strong. So I called him up and talked to him and he didn't really mention anything about him meeting with the bishop that day. He just talked to me about how he was really busy with work and how he was trying to help his mom who is recovering from an injury. I was heartbroken because I knew what he was trying to do but, I didn't want to interrogate him and ask him why he was doing what he was without him bringing it up. So we set up an appointment to meet with him next Sunday, so I'm going to talk to him with President Tilleman and hopefully we'll be able to solve the problem. We thought we were going to be meeting him tonight so last night I really felt that I needed just reassurance from out Father in Heaven that everything that we teach as missionaries is true. Man I haven't prayed so hard in a really long time. But I can testify that after I finished saying my prayer that Heavenly Father answered my prayer, I felt this warm burning feeling deep in my heart and an impression came to me that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. As soon as I heard that answer I said thanks and it helped me know with even more power that Heavenly Father does answer prayers and that this is truly the church of Jesus

Please pray for Andrew, that his heart will be softened and that he will remember his testimony, and the peace and happiness that came to him as he lived that Gospel of Jesus Christ. I would really appreciate it and I know he would really appreciate it. I think about it like this all of us missionaries have millions of people all around the world praying for us, while our investigators usually only have us and a handful of members. But I do know that every prayer makes a difference and Heavenly Father has the power to work miracles according to the level of faith that we have, as we are obedient to his commandments.

Thanks, I appreciate your love and support for me, tell everyone that I'm praying for them and I love them.

 HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
 Love,

 Elder Kameron Lahache

Grateful For the Gospel In My Life

 Hey everyone!

Holy smoke I can't believe you guys are all already in Hampton Beach! It's even crazier that it has been practically a year since I've been on my mission, I guess looking back I've learned so much and I feel like I have really changed in many ways. It wasn't my efforts that have changed me I have hanged because I have put my life in the hands of our Father in Heaven! Man everyday just keeps getting better and better, there is nothing that I have experienced in this life that it more fulfilling and joyful that being a missionary! I am so grateful for the gospel in out lives and for the opportunity that we have to come to this earth to learn and to grow.

So I filled up another memory card so when I get a chance I'll send it home to you guys later this week, there's so many random pictures. How long are you guys going to be in Hampton Beach I guess until the end of the week, the weather must be beautiful out there too! The weather is really mild here never really gets too hot and it doesn't get too cold, I think the hottest that I've seen it get here is about 27, usually it's only around low to mid 20's though.
So last week was once again transfer week, so Elder Clarke went home and he's in St. George Utah now! I also received a new companion! Guess where he's from...........QUEBEC CITY!!!! C'est ca le! He's such a good missionary, I'm learning so much from him! Oh and so we're still in Burnaby and it's such an awesome place to serve the Lord, we meet people from all over the world! So I can speak a few phrases in 5 different languages now!

Our area is just exploding! The Lord is truly blessing us as we strive to do all that is required of us, people are being placed in our path. It's a really good feeling to come home at the end of the day and know that you did all that you could. Not only that but it is really fulfilling to see how the Lord uses us as missionaries truly bless and change people's lives. We had 3 investigators come to church this week, which is the most we've had since I've been here. I know that if we rely on the Lord that he will make it so we can see even more people coming out! Elder Soucy is a really hard working so I know that we'll be able to work hard in the Lord's work and save many souls! I'm so excited!

One thing that Elder Soucy and I decided as soon as we became companions is that we are going to be the best effective and efficient missionaries that we can be. So we made a huge map of our area and put stickers where every single member, less active, investigator and part> member family lives. We've making sure that we organize ourselves properly so that we can give members enough notice so that they can make the time to come to lessons with us! Wow it works so well, already we have 5 member present appointments set up this week and I know that we can get more. Bringing members is so important and it helps investigators see how people live their faith in everyday life not just us as missionaries.

Looking back on my mission so far I have learned many lessons and have gain experiences I am so excited that I have another year to serve because now I get to apply all that I've learned and just go crazy! I feel like I have been trying really hard, but I do not feel like I have yet to reach my full potential. So in the next year I am going to go the extra mile and really stretch myself to serve the Lord because I love him and because I know this gospel is true.
I have a testimony that the Lord guides us by his spirit if we are humble and willing to do want he wants us to. If we act upon the prompting that we receive he will guide us to do that which is right. When we follow that spirit we'll feel this overwhelming feeling of happiness we'll feel good about ourselves and have confidence in ourselves and more importantly confidence in our Father Heaven. That he will watch over us and guide us day by day so that we may bless thelives of his children.

Later today Elder Soucy and I will be heading downtown to go buy some dress pants! We're going to see Elder Muller there (one of my companions while I was in Delta) and Elder Perkins! Both really good missionaries so it will be a fun day I'll have to take some sweet pictures while I'm there!

Hope your all having an awesome time boogie boarding in Hampton Beach! Your so lucky! I'll pray for uncle J's daughter and hope that she gets well soon.

Have an awesome day! Love you guys!

Seeing The Blessing From Mormon.org

Me climbing rocks again
Hey Mom and Dad,

Well first I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SONNY BOY!!!! Yo dad it's crazy it's your birthday already, I'm very grateful that you are my dad and for all the lessons that you taught me growing up. I am the man that I am today because of the love and care that you and mom both showed me so thanks. I pretty much owe you for the rest of my life! So make sure on your birthday that you go see a sweet movie or something, I heard that Cowboys vs. Aliens is supposed to be alright. I think you should go outside and take in a deep breath and do a Native call too! That would be sweet, I'll have to send you a video of me doing it to show you.

I received both of my packages this week! Thanks so much for the awesome chips and salsa, it's actually really good. I like it because it a sweet salsa, many aren't like that. And we can't forget the glorious package of patch. Thank you for sending me those contacts too, I'm wearing a new pair today!

So yeah this week is the end of our transfer, so Elder Clarke is going home on Friday, he's really excited. It should be good, I'll be getting a new companion. I'm excited because we are both going to work like there is no tomorrow and do all that we can to bless the lives of our Heavenly Father's children.

We had some amazing miracles happen to us this week! We received a call from the mission office this week, and they had a referral from us from mormon.org. So we went to this referrals house and turns out that this guy is 17 years old and he heard about the church from that new musical on broadway, I think it's called The Book of Mormon or something like that. So he went on mormon.org and checked out the website and thought it was great. He said that he really wants to read the Book of Mormon and know if it's true. It's awesome though we've taught him twice already and he knows so much about the church. It's really awesome to see how Heavenly Father prepares people to receive the gospel, mormon.org is one of the best ways that we can share the gospel with those who we care about!

The view from the top of the Chief. This is Native Land!

We got to go on a sweet hike to a place called the chief which is next to a small town called Squamish. It was really nice the sun was shining and the hike was nice, so I'll send you another e-mail with pictures from it.

Tell Drew my phone number here she can call me on our cell, she can call whenever. How long is she going to be in B.C. Tell her that Burnaby is right next to downtown Vancouver and in Burnaby there is Metrotown which is the 2nd biggest mall in Canada.

Its good to hear that Jay came and visited this past week, is he doing good? And you know I remember going to the train museum with Dad and Cody when we were small. I guess I have a pretty good memory.

Anyway I have to run, thank you for your prayers! I love you all Have a good week!
