Working Hard

Knock Knock!
 Hey everyone!

I don't have much time to write this week we have so many things that we have to do! We've been running around all day but it's fun!

So to answer questions yes I received the package that you sent from Lake George a few weeks ago, right now my zone leader currently has it, but it got to the office safe and sound so I should be getting it later today! Thanks so much I appreciate all that you do for me! The box with the contacts should be delivered straight to my door, we have language missionaries that lives in the apartment with us so they are usually at home when the mail man comes because in the morning they do their language study! So it should be good, if we miss the mail man then they leave us a note and we go a pick up the package at the post office! It happened a couple of times when Ma would send me packages. Of your going to be sending me packages from the States it would be better to send those the the address in America! I think you still have it because right now I can't remember it for some reason!

Looks like everyone has such a blast this weekend! You just borrowed that boat though right? We'll have to do it sometime next year when I get back but until then there are people here that need the gospel more than anything! It's weird to think that I'm going to be in the same place as Elder Clarke in a year like you were saying Dad, I'm so grateful for my mission. This experience has done so much to strengthen my testimony. I'm so excited to share the gospel with everyone I know and introduce them to the missionaries when I get back! There is no joy like helping people gain their own personal testimonies and then when they do receive it they are so blessed!

Bike race service project
Elder Clarke and I have been working hard this week! We went on exchanges a couple of times this week because Elder Clarke is the district leader. But yeah I know I say this almost every week, but I love talking to people on the streets! It just feels so great to know that we have a message that will truly bless people's lives, I just feel like it's really important and I want to tell everyone about it. Then when we find people who are ready and willing to hear our message my soul rejoices, because what we have will bring people true happiness in this life and will return them to Heavenly Father in the life to come.

It's really cool to have President Tilleman here, he is very humble and he loves the missionaries. He's a great example to me he's a hard working which I think is awesome. The past few weeks he would randomly show up a Elder's apartment and have a companionship study with them (we have one everyday at 9:30-10:30 A.M.). So now many missionaries are afraid the he's going to randomly show up at their house. I think it would be cool though and also an uplifting experience!

Our D.A. Situation has improved quite a bit actually we have many members that have us over to their place now so we are being taken care of!

Tell Michael that I said congratulations and that I said Hi and that I miss him and think of him often! He's such an awesome guy! Did his wife ever end up joining the church?

Well I hope everyone has a great week I love you all so much! I think of you guys and pray for you alot!

 Have a great week!

 Love,

Another Awsome Service Opportunity

 Hey Mom and Dad!

I forgot to answer some of your questions last week so I'll answer them now! I still haven't gotten the package that you guys sent from Lake George but it might be at the office. We're going to the mission office later today so if it's there I'll let you know right away!

I was about to send you some sweet pictures that I was able to take BUT my camera battery is dead! So I'll maybe be able to send you some when we go to the office later, if not I will send them to you next week!

So yeah you have to tell Colton that I said happy birthday!! "On July 19th! A hero will rise!" it's so crazy to think that he's already 14 years old! Drew is already 16 too! What the heck everyone is getting old.

Elder Clarke and I have been so blessed this week! Heavenly Father is guiding us every step of the way! Burnaby is awesome I love it here. Being in the office really helped me to see how much of a blessing it is that we have to opportunity to do the Lord's work and be out speaking to people all the time. It was something that I honestly took for granted before and I didn't realize how much I missed being out and talking to people about the gospel before I came to Burnaby. We have been so blessed with the people that Heavenly Father has given us to teach! These people are awesome, they're solid! They're so close to making the next step to following Heavenly Father and being baptized. Louise is doing so good, she has been faithful in living the
word of wisdom ever since we talked about it with her. You can just see in her face how her testimony is growing more and more every time we come over. The gospel of Jesus Christ truly blesses his children's lives, he gives us strength through faith when we are obedient to the commandments he gives.

Another one of our investigators who is Heru, he's from Indonesia where 90% of the population is Muslim, his wife Treyzia was baptized a few weeks before I arrived in Burnaby. Heru has been investigating the church for almost a year now, but when he first started to meet with missionaries he didn't believe in God or Jesus Christ, basically told us that he believed in science. But he came to church yesterday and bore his testimony, where he said that he knows that he has a Heavenly Father who knows and love him and that he sent Jesus Christ to atone for us. The spirit was there I'm grateful that Heavenly Father has given us the spirit so we can receive our own personal testimonies of our Heavenly Father. The only thing that is stopping Heru from getting baptized is that he wants to be sure that our church has the priesthood authority from God. So we encourage him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon as well as keep the commandments as well as come to church. I know his answer will come. I'm so excited and happy for him. Being a missionary is definitely the most fulfilling work I've ever done and it has helped make my testimony in the gospel rock solid!
This week we got to go help out at a biking race that happens every year in Burnaby. It's called the Giro Di Burnaby (http://girodiburnaby.com/) it was really cool we helped out set up the track for the race and it was an awesome opportunity to serve the people here. We got to talk to so many people. If you go to this link http://girodiburnaby.com/giro-2011-race-videos/ watch the video's and you'll be able to see us standing right up against the fence. We're the guys that are wearing the florescent orange vests at 1:50 seconds into the video.

Tell everyone that I love them! Have a great week!

 Love,

Heavenly Father Guides Us As Missionaries

Hi everyone!

Well it's good to hear that everyone had a fantastic week and had a good time at the camp. Even though some of it might have been annoying. Sounds like everyone is really busy visit old friends and stuff.

So I'll tell you about that random rick that came in the package. That is granite from the Vancouver Temple! I thought it was really cool and Sister Nelson gave it to me, so when I get home I might go and polish it and make it look really nice, maybe make it a momentum of my mission or something like that! Yeah and there are the two DVD's 1. The Temple Grounds Tour DVD and 2. The Mormon.org DVD. They both havequite a bit of stuff on it. We've been using them both quite a bit in our area! Then there are some drawings from children of members we would visit in Richmond. The drawings are supposed to be of me haha.

So it would be probably better to send me stuff straight to Canada because I'm not in the office anymore, all the packages from the U.S. go to the office and then we have to pick it up there and we don't always have time on P-Day to the office it's about 25 minutes away. Do you need the address of the place that I'm at now? I should be good with socks and everything elder, it's just pretty much my pants that are wrecked! I still have no idea how the heck it happened!

This week was really great! Heavenly Father has blessed us with some awesome investigators! One thing that I thought that was really cool happened yesterday. Some of our plans fell through last night so Elder Clarke and I didn't know what we should do. We prayed and we asked Heavenly Father to guide us where we should be. We both felt that we should go visit a less active family. So we did even though it was about 8:20 we got there and when they opened the door they were happy to see us they welcome us in. The wife of the family is a member of the church however her husband was not. We started to talk with him about who he thought God was and how we could know which of all the different churches is God's true church. He said that the only real answers to that question and questions similar to that come from God! So we started to tell him about Joseph Smith and the restoration of Christ's church. We went and watched the restoration movie, the spirit can always be felt so powerfully when we watched it and after it was finished we asked him what he thought. He said that it was really good and that it all made sense to him. We asked him if he would read and pray about the Book of Mormon this week and he said that he would. The spirit was there and we all felt it. It's cool though because things don't always work out the way that we plan on them. But if we never had that free time then we would not have been able to bring the spirit into this families home! So I know that Heavenly Father does guide us, and he knows our needs he knows where we need to be. Even though things might not work the way that we plan them to, Heavenly Father has a plan and if we trust in him everything will be good!

So yeah I am grateful that I have a chance to serve in Burnaby and I am grateful for your wonderful example at home. I am thankful that we> grew up in a home where we have the gospel.

"The last African warrior"

Hey! I haven't had much time to take many picture I'll take more this week! We went to a south Sudan independence day party (many of our investigators are from South Sudan so they invited us to come) South Sudan is the newest country in the world. Anyway this is a picture of "The last African warrior"

Tell everyone that I love them and I miss them! I'll continue to pray for everyone! BYE!

Elder Kameron Lahache

Burnaby Is Awsome!

Hey Everyone!

Hope everyone had an awesome time in Lake George this weekend it sure sounds like you did! I wish I could have been there oh well there is always the future that we will be able to go places everyday! So The package that I have been meaning to send you guys for quite some time now has finally been sent off! Sister Traxler, she's one of the secretaries in the mission office called me this week and told me that they sent it off so it should be coming soon! I'm excited for you all to see the stuff that I was working on for all that time while I was in the office. It's awesome! This week we were actually able to use some of the material that Elder Williams and I worked on while we were in the office. It's so cool the see how useful the materials we created are when we visit with members.

This week we went to visit Sister Wong and her family (Sister Wong is the gospel principles teacher here in Burnaby) and we talked to her about using mormon.org. It was awesome we showed her a few parts from President Nelson's presentation and then we showed her a few presentations. The main point that we focused on is that mormon.org is a non confrontational, noninvasive way that we can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our friends. By the time we finished presenting all of the kids in her family thought it was the coolest thing in the world and they all wanted to go and watch all the videos on it and send one to their friends if the spirit prompted them too. So it was really great to see
and it made grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with the talents that I have, and for the opportunity I had to use them to benefit the mission.

I love being in Burnaby, I love being a full time proselyting missionary and I love talking to the people. We have so many spiritual experiences and the spirit is always strong as long as we are perfectly obedient to Heavenly Father's commandments. Then when we make mistakes we repent and recommit to the covenants that we've made. One of the cool things that happened this week was on Friday. I was on an exchange with missionary named Elder Eo, he's from South Korea so he's speaks Korean. But yeah we were on an exchange Elder Clarke went to Port Coquitlam which is about 15 mins away from Burnaby, and Elder Eo and I stayed in Burnaby. We went to an appointment that we had scheduled for 7:00, so we show up the father opens the door and he told us that he completely forgot about our appointment and that we would have to reschedule (That happens alot it doesn't really matter what part of the mission your in). So we rescheduled and Elder Eo and I went back into the car, I sat there and I could only think what are we supposed to do now, because I was still new I had no idea where all our investigators lived and I had no idea where we could go next. So Elder Eo and I decided that we needed to say a prayer, so we did. It
> was funny because we were saying repeatedly all day that we NEED to have to spirit with us because Elder Eo

There are so many amazing experiences that we are having here. Heavenly Father has truly prepared people's hearts for the gospel. Elder Clarke and I are working really hard, we are hoping that we will be able to help another person be baptized in July. We have some awesome investigators so I have confidence that it will happen! So all your prayers are really helping thank you so much! Keep praying for us =).

We are teaching a 9 year old boy and his name is Marvin. It's so funny because he reminds me of Colton so much, he loves Lego and Pokemon and all the t.v. shows that Colton watches all the time. So we went over the first day I was in Burnaby and we clicked, he's a really great kid and he has a powerful testimony, for someone so young. Last Sunday was fast and testimony Sunday so I went up to bear my testimony and just as I sit down I look down the aisle and Marvin is coming up to the front with a big smile on his face and comes sit next to me. I said Marvin are you going to be your testimony, he nodded his head and I said SWEET! It's crazy how the spirit can work through us and then we can touch and bless people's lives. I'm so grateful for the many experiences Heavenly Father has blessed me with. Especially for the people, who I grow to love through serving them, it makes me really happy to see when someones life is blessed by living the principles of the Gospel!

So yeah for a trip when I get home anywhere would be awesome, surprise me! As long as it's with our whole family it will be amazing. It would be cool to show everyone Vancouver and all the areas that I've served. My pant size is 32 but maybe a visa card would be the best that way I can go to the store and try on the pants on P-day and get some that fit well.

When the son of Sonny Boy goes on his mission he will change, I'm still me and I still act the way that I do, but my views have changed greatly and my ability to empathize and truly care for people has truly come forth. Son of Sonny Boy will be an awesome missionary I'm so excited for him to go. It's the most rewarding and joyful experience I've had.

Me and Elder Clarke get along great, he's going home at the beginning of August, it's crazy! So we're going to work as hard as we can until the day he leaves and then we'll work just as hard!

So yeah I hope your having an awesome day, your all going to have so much fun at YM's and YW's camp! Let me know how awesome it is.

 Love you
 Elder Kameron Lahache
