Prince George is Amazing

Hey everyone!

Well all I have to say is this week was absolutely amazing! I'm so excited to be a missionary! I'm so excited for the opportunities that we been blessed with to serve here in Prince George. Quick note about the explosion, I honestly didn't even notice it when it happened. It has affected the city though and many people are praying for the families who've been affected by it. We have been called by Heavenly Father to represent Jesus Christ, I know for a fact that Jesus Christ would go out to these families and comfort them and let them know that no matter what happens families can be together forever as we follow Jesus Christ and keep the commandments. I am very grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ which allows us to overcome the hard times, but also allows us to make changes and most importantly be forgiven of our mistakes.

The Atonement is wonderful, I testify that it works!
I've seen it change people's hearts.

This past weekend Elder Larsen and I took a 3 hour trip South West to a small town in Robson valley called Valemount. I LOVE THIS PLACE! It is a little town of a little over 1,000 people but it is the best. The reason we went out there is because we received a referral from a member to go and teach a part member family that lives out there. We called up the family and they were really excited to hear from us and they said that they wanted us over at their home asap. So we didn't hesitate we arranged a meeting and we took off. So we left Friday morning and arrived in Valemount on Friday afternoon around 2, we went over and introduced ourselves to the Smith family (The members who allowed us to stay at their home during our time in Valemount, they're awesome too!) then we went and visited the part member family. No joke they were looking out the window waiting for us to arrive and as soon as we pulled in front of their house they opened the door and came out to greet us. We got to know the family for a bit and it turns out that two people in the family aren't members and they are both open to learning and they both have a desire to be baptized! So pretty much just like that Heavenly Father snapped his fingers and blessed Elder Larsen and I with two amazing investigators who we are working with the be baptized in the next upcoming month of May! It really is amazing to just take a step back and really see how involved Heavenly Father is in this work! I am so grateful to be a missionary and an instrument in the hands of God to bring people joy through the teachings of Jesus Christ! The name of the family is the Medina's they are from Mexico and have lived in the United States and Canada. They've been in Canada for a little over 4 years now. There is Brother and Sister Medina and they have two children Omar Jr. who is 14 and Raquel who is 11. Brother Medina and Raquel are both not baptized, the only reason they never got baptized is because there is not branch in Valemount. What's amazing is that there are some amazing families who the members have been working with and Elder Larsen and I feel really strongly that they can be baptized very soon. We also found out that there are several families who are LDS here. Our goal is to start a branch in Valemount, that would be wonderful and what's crazy is I can actually see it happening.

This week is going to be crazy though! Tomorrow we're flying down to Richmond at 7 in the morning we'll spend the day in Richmond then we'll fly back at 7 in the evening. Wednesday we're going down to Quesel again to interview Dennis for his baptism. Thursday and Friday we are going to be having zone conference which I'm really excited for. Then we're going up to Valemount again on Friday and staying until Sunday afternoon. Valemount is so beautiful! We have to come back so you can see it!

I love this work, and even that doesn't fully express how much I love being a missionary. This is the greatest work that anyone can engage themselves in.

 Have a great week!

 Love,
 Elder Kameron Lahache
